Description

The client is seeking a Chief Network Officer (CNO) to oversee all aspects of its Investor Network, Policy Network, and Company Network initiatives. The CNO will lead strategic planning and management systems, manage operations and program implementation, and drive business development to advance the client’s mission. This role will also support development of public positions related to climate and sustainability, economic analysis, and thought leadership across relevant regulatory, policy, and workplace practices.

The CNO will provide leadership to a team of subject matter experts across diverse disciplines and implement strategies and initiatives—including fee-for-service models and campaigns—to increase membership and network activity. The position is expected to ensure regular evaluation, outcome and impact measurement, and consistent communication across the client’s networks. The CNO will interface with external organizations, assist with fundraising planning and execution, and manage special projects to grow or enhance key initiatives and membership priorities.

The CNO will serve as a member of the client’s Executive Team and will partner collaboratively with other leaders. Strong candidates will typically bring 15+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated accomplishments in a senior leadership role, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate experience. The role requires experience effectively leading program growth within a nonprofit context and familiarity with financial and/or corporate sectors, environmental and sustainability issues and/or policies, and building business development initiatives. The CNO will also need experience hiring, training, supervising, and supporting professional development, and will be willing to travel as needed.
