The client is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for a not-for-profit, full-service regional critical access hospital, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The CMO will serve as the senior clinical voice for the hospital, partnering across Quality, Nursing, Risk Management, and the medical staff. The ideal candidate is a physician leader with progressive experience in a hospital or health system, along with an MD or DO background and eligibility for licensure in the State of Wyoming. The role emphasizes proven success in quality, safety, medical staff leadership, and clinical governance. Experience supporting rural or community-based hospitals is strongly preferred, and the CMO should have an operational understanding of workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas. Board certification in a clinical discipline is required (active or prior certification acceptable), and the candidate should demonstrate commitment to the hospital’s mission and community.
