The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre reports to the Executive Vice-President, Clinical Service Delivery (EVP) and the Vice President of Medical and Academic Affairs (VPMAA), working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide leadership for medical services. The CMO oversees a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives, and dentists to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care in alignment with the organization's goals and vision. They are responsible for managing resources and supporting research programs to foster an innovative and intellectual research culture within the hospital.The CMO collaborates with other leaders across the campus to ensure seamless integration and continuity of care for patients. They hold executive accountability for research programs and work to champion a culture of excellence in medical care delivery. The CMO plays a critical role in supporting the overall mission of BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre by providing strategic leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of medical programs and services.
