The client is seeking a Chief Medical Officer, a physician leader who will drive clinical quality and ensure effective medical services and operations. In this role, the Chief Medical Officer will develop, implement, and maintain essential medical services and clinical operations, ensuring compliance with standards set by the client’s leadership and applicable governmental regulations.
The Chief Medical Officer will serve as a subject matter expert for best practices across medical services and clinical operations, and will represent the hospital at medical society, agency, and other professional meetings. The role includes partnering with leadership to define performance standards and manage oversight, review, and evaluation processes, as well as leading the hospital’s quality agenda.
The Chief Medical Officer will support staffing and physician qualification reviews across medical service departments, and will contribute to the client’s organizational short-term and long-term strategic planning by providing recommendations based on current operations and improvement opportunities. Ideal candidates will be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Georgia, be board certified in an ABMS-recognized specialty, and may be preferred to have advanced graduate preparation (such as a master’s degree) and prior experience as a Chief Medical Officer or in a role focused on enforcing policy and bylaws.
