Description

The client is seeking a senior marketing executive to serve as its chief marketing role, responsible for profitable growth through both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The role will own the annual marketing plan and strategy and lead a team focused on product, content, and creative marketing. The position includes developing and driving multi-channel content and sales strategy that supports a more integrated customer experience, with efforts aligned to customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

Key responsibilities include directing new business development and partnering closely with sales and e-commerce functions to align marketing and sales strategy. The role will oversee day-to-day marketing collateral implementation and manage multiple campaigns in parallel, including production and direct mail/catalog circulation efforts. It will also plan and run marketing operations across disciplines such as product development, creative, copy, web, and circulation, while ensuring the brand voice is consistently represented.

The role includes leading market research collection, analysis, and interpretation to support short- and long-term forecasts, as well as building and managing databases for consumer transactions and prospecting. The executive will manage marketing budget and expenditures, conduct competitive analysis to evaluate positioning and develop counter-strategies, and optimize marketing processes for efficiency and results. Requirements include 10+ years of hands-on direct marketing experience with progression into leadership, experience across multiple marketing disciplines, demonstrated ability to develop B2C and B2B markets, strong merchandising and multi-catalog management background, experience applying both digital and non-digital channels, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Experience selling promotional products and proficiency with business software such as CRM are preferred, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with advanced degrees considered advantageous.
