The client is a Web3 venture capital operating group and growth partner focused on delivering sustainable operational performance within portfolio companies through hands-on value-creation. As Chief Marketing Officer, you will join the Leadership Team to reshape the narrative in the blockchain space and help define and execute growth priorities across portfolio companies, from strategy setting through frontline implementation. This role includes leading strategy and execution for a client book or serving as a right-hand partner to founders to ensure compelling stories reach and activate target audiences.
You will manage relationships across multiple portfolio companies and take ultimate responsibility for the health of those client relationships. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and team expansion decisions; defining marketing roadmaps and OKRs; establishing KPIs; owning channel reporting and attribution modeling; and setting goals aligned with business objectives and desired returns. You will also collaborate cross-functionally across PR, KOLs, content, marketing, growth, and events teams, while providing hands-on support for projects and adapting messaging and strategy to a fast-changing ecosystem.
Additional duties include managing marketing budgets effectively, overseeing public relations execution and alignment with key messaging, leading content and social strategy, and directing growth campaigns across paid and owned media. You will monitor and report marketing campaign performance using data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and optimize ROI, ensure teams are appropriately staffed to meet deliverables, and represent portfolio companies at industry events and conferences. The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years of experience leading marketing and communications for early and growth-stage crypto companies, strong expertise in the Web3 ecosystem, analytical and consumer-insight-driven thinking, proven experience running successful campaigns and announcements, and a proactive, action-oriented approach to work.
