The client is seeking a visionary and strategic General Director to lead their operations during a transformation phase, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and safety while empowering teams.
The selected candidate will have full responsibility for business management, ensuring excellent operational performance, promoting sustainable growth, nurturing talent, and guaranteeing the highest safety standards.
Reporting directly to the COO, the General Director will be a member of the Executive Committee, working closely with other senior leaders to drive corporate initiatives, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and provide regular updates on performance and key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include leading initiatives to strengthen safety protocols and risk management to achieve zero incidents across all operations.
The director will develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with the client's purpose and values, drive a culture of change at all organizational levels, manage daily operations, financial performance, and resource optimization, as well as oversee investment programs.
They will lead and coordinate regional managers to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and operational excellence, promote a high-performance culture through talent development, leadership mentoring, and employee empowerment, and implement a structured succession plan to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
The director will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including long-term clients and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments, supporting business growth and diversification through strategic acquisitions, and ensuring full compliance with external and internal regulations.
The ideal candidate should have an educational background in Engineering, Business Administration, or Management, and preferably hold a Master's degree.
At least ten years of senior leadership experience in complex, multi-site organizations is required.
The candidate should have a proven track record of leading transformational changes and promoting cultural shifts, demonstrated expertise in safety management, solid financial knowledge, and experience in budget management and P&L responsibility.
A commercial orientation or previous experience in this area is essential, along with fluency in English and Catalan, and knowledge of French is a plus.
