the client seeks a collaborative, strategic, and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead university-wide information security efforts during a period of institutional growth and expanding research capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the CISO will provide leadership for developing, strengthening, advancing, and continuously improving the client’s information security program to protect institutional information assets while partnering with the campus community to support the organization’s mission.
the CISO will build a modern security organization and foster a culture of shared responsibility for information security in a complex academic environment. The role will involve recruiting, mentoring, and developing security teams; partnering with campus leaders, faculty and researchers, IT professionals, and administrative stakeholders; and positioning cybersecurity as an enabler of institutional success by ensuring security practices support teaching, research, and service objectives.
