The CIO serves as the client’s principal technology advisor and is expected to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining a customer-focused, service-oriented approach.
you will lead strategic technology planning and modernization initiatives, directing enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity oversight, GIS services, and applications management. Key responsibilities include evaluating and optimizing current systems, processes, and infrastructure; supporting software implementation and organizational technology integration; and driving innovation through cross-department collaboration. The role will also support the organization in preparing for future growth and evolving technology demands.
required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrated experience leading IT projects and technical operations, including network administration and technical support. You must also hold a valid Texas driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include experience in municipal or public sector technology leadership, familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise software implementation and integration, GIS experience (including awareness of public safety technologies), and professional IT certifications. Advanced leadership, strategic planning, and organizational change management experience are also preferred.
