The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Knox City Council will report to the Director Customer and Performance and provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization's technology and information services. This role involves shaping the future direction of technology to support high-quality, community-focused service delivery. The CIO will be responsible for developing and driving a clear, practical, and forward-looking technology strategy and roadmap, working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team to align systems, platforms, and digital capability with the organization's broader transformation agenda and organizational needs.The CIO will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the technology environment while enhancing digital capability and leveraging emerging technologies to improve service delivery and organizational effectiveness. Leading a multidisciplinary team, the CIO will foster a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration, building capability and a cohesive, high-performing function aligned to a clear purpose. Additionally, the role will partner closely with stakeholders across the organization and externally to ensure technology delivers measurable outcomes, including leading enterprise cyber security, data governance, and information management practices.
