The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will report to the Vice-President, Administrative Services and will be responsible for developing and implementing the client's IT strategy, overseeing infrastructure and enterprise systems, and delivering technology solutions that support the academic mission and operational goals. The CIO will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, service excellence, and digital transformation within the organization. Leading a talented IT team, the CIO will oversee technology governance, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, enterprise applications, and support services to ensure robust, secure, and scalable systems. They will collaborate across the organization to understand evolving technology needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver solutions that enhance the student and employee experience.Key areas of responsibility for the CIO include strategic IT transformation, operational oversight to ensure secure and reliable IT services, team leadership and development to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, IT governance and policy guidance, and collaboration with academic, research, and administrative leaders to align technology initiatives with institutional priorities. The CIO will also be responsible for building strategic relationships with external technology providers to support the organization's technology goals and initiatives.
