The client invites applications and nominations for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) role. Reporting to the Provost and Dean of Faculty, the CIO serves as the most senior IT leader and is responsible for creating, managing, and directing the organization’s IT vision, strategy, and roadmap to support the mission and vision. The role includes leading IT strategy, operations, and functions, including infrastructure, technologies, cybersecurity services, and data to enable digital transformation.
The CIO directs the end-to-end design, development, installation, and operation of academic and administrative information technology, partnering across organizational functions to enhance teaching, learning, and administration. This position oversees data privacy and compliance, provides strategic leadership for technology infrastructure, leads enterprise application development, and drives innovative solutions. The CIO also leads cybersecurity efforts, manages and mentors the ITS team, and oversees IT budget management.
Successful candidates will have 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and leadership, with strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing platforms, and enterprise applications. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree and additional professional certification are welcome. Experience in higher education is preferred, and candidates are expected to have held progressively responsible leadership roles within a complex organization with multiple locations, stakeholders, and varied technology solutions.
