The client seeks applications and nominations for the next Chief Information Officer (CIO), an executive technology leader responsible for advancing the Information Technology Services Division and positioning it as a strategic partner across the institution. The CIO will lead an accomplished team to deliver services that enhance the work of students, faculty, and staff, helping strengthen technology’s role in supporting the institution’s teaching and research missions.
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, Administration and Finance, the CIO will collaborate closely with institutional and system leadership to shape the future of technology advancement. Key focus areas include decisions related to enterprise resource planning selection and implementation, artificial intelligence policy and practices, digital accessibility, and organizational structuring to address staffing vacancies and upcoming retirements. The role is expected to build on a culture of collaboration and shared divisional priorities that foster strong synergies between technology and the broader community.
The CIO will lead a team of nine direct reports and serve as an integral leader in continued technological advancement. Candidates are expected to bring proven executive leadership capabilities and the ability to guide strategy, governance, and service delivery across a complex institutional environment, while also supporting a collaborative and community-oriented approach to technology.
