The client is seeking a Chief Impact Officer (CIO), a mission-driven executive leadership role focused on making direct, measurable impact on hunger and poverty. The CIO will lead the organization’s Impact Team, a department spanning programs, community health and nutrition, food connection, multilingual outreach, and policy and advocacy, and will serve as a member of the executive leadership team.
In this role, the CIO will oversee delivery of food programs while also strengthening efforts to connect neighbors and clients to critical support services that advance food security, including federal nutrition programs such as SNAP and other resources. The position will support long-term, equitable solutions to hunger by aligning community engagement and operational scale with nutrition education and policy and advocacy work.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader capable of managing large, complex teams, setting clear goals, and ensuring accountability, including cross-functional integration across multiple program areas. They will also be a decisive, emotionally intelligent relationship builder who can build trust and serve as a cultural stabilizer, and an operationally grounded strategist who can lead change with discipline and patience while using data to guide decisions. A strong commitment to the mission, equity, and client voice, along with a values-driven leadership style, is expected.
