The client is seeking a strategic, innovative, purpose-driven Chief Impact Officer (CIO) to lead its network and direct-service programs. Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a member of the Executive Team, the CIO will lead, facilitate, and enable transformational change within the programs and services team. The role focuses on building, developing, and enhancing programs and services that provide resources to people experiencing food insecurity while strengthening the organization’s efforts to end hunger.
The CIO is expected to implement the organization’s refreshed strategic plan with primary day-to-day responsibility for program and service deliverables. This includes engaging external experts to inform and influence food distribution and programming strategies, as well as supporting program evaluation efforts to drive impact, efficiencies, sustainability, and cost effectiveness. The role also includes overseeing the development and ongoing support of a partner network, including membership terms, benefits and processes, and related gatherings, communications, and functions.
In addition, the CIO will serve as a thought leader by sharing relevant trends internally and externally related to community development and investment strategies, promising programs, and solutions. The position requires balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and fostering a culture of service. Responsibilities also include ensuring that new and existing programs are conducted in a financially viable and compliant manner, while collaborating with a broad set of external constituents and engaging strategically with internal leadership.
