Description

The client seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO as part of a planned leadership succession. The CHRO will help guide a leadership transition, evolving strategic priorities, and the implications of artificial intelligence for the future of work, while responding to an external environment that creates demanding needs across the organization’s network. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, this role leads people strategies, culture, and organizational capabilities to advance the organization’s long-term ambitions.

Key responsibilities include advising the CEO and executive team on organizational and management issues, guiding organization design aligned to vision and strategy, and developing workforce plans and programs that support recruitment, development, and retention of diverse talent. The CHRO will steward organizational values and culture, foster an open and supportive environment that promotes leadership accountability, and play a central role in shaping and championing the client’s approach to artificial intelligence and workforce disruption. The role also leads employee engagement measurement, feedback mechanisms, and issue escalation processes to strengthen organizational health.

The CHRO will direct talent management strategies covering performance management, leadership and professional development, and advancement, and will lead the design of organizational reward strategy including compensation philosophy, related policies and programs, benefits programs, and employee recognition. Additional responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, selection, and orientation to ensure effective onboarding, ensuring fair and equitable employment practices with applicable legal and regulatory compliance, and providing coaching and guidance to support belonging, teamwork, and growth while maintaining high performance within the Human Resources Team. The CHRO will also staff board governance on human resources matters and provide consultation and coaching to network members to support HR capacity development.
