Description

The client seeks a dynamic, innovative, and seasoned leader to serve as its next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This cabinet-level role reports to the university’s President and will help advance the organization’s growth by expanding and strengthening the human resources function while balancing tradition with innovation.

The CHRO will oversee the tactical and strategic development of HR across a full portfolio of responsibilities, including talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, change management, records management, compliance, and reporting, as well as human resources technology. The role includes building and refining HR policies, launching programs and initiatives that respond to community needs, and promoting employee morale and engagement. The CHRO will also ensure HR leaders and teams are supported with training and skills to be proactive and service-oriented.

Working closely with other university leaders, the CHRO will collaborate on institution-wide plans, projects, and initiatives, and will participate in committees and working groups. The position involves advising and guiding administrative leadership to ensure HR practices align with institutional goals and values, supporting a workplace where all employees can thrive, and reinforcing the client’s commitment to equal employment and advancement opportunities without regard to protected characteristics.
