the client is a national nonprofit focused on encouraging action and pride in the communities people call home, supporting efforts that advance clean, green, and beautiful places through volunteer and stakeholder engagement. the client is investing in a newly aligned marketing-communications and development unit to integrate public-facing functions, drive sustainable growth, and scale impact. the client is recruiting for a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to help leverage a period of increased organizational growth, visibility, and community engagement to deepen existing relationships and expand support and philanthropic investment in its mission.

the CGO reports directly to the President & CEO and is responsible for growing revenue and engagement across the organization. the role will lead senior staff, including leaders in corporate partnerships and marketing/communications, as well as a team of development professionals and operations support. the position is expected to expand external engagement, advance the organization’s public presence, and strengthen long-term financial sustainability through data-driven strategies, reliable digital platforms for public engagement, and a compelling case for support grounded in branding and dynamic storytelling that highlights proactive community and environmental stewardship. the CGO will also be expected to serve as a central driver of initiatives to unlock potential in individual and major gifts by building a seamless donor experience, structuring a comprehensive donor journey with clear pathways for increased investment, and providing tailored stewardship that promotes loyalty.

the ideal candidate will have an authentic connection to the mission and vision and demonstrate knowledge and adherence to modern fundraising principles and ethics, including integrating giving programs to diversify the funding base and deepen donor commitments. the role requires proven experience leading multi-channel fundraising strategies in complex stakeholder environments, as well as hands-on major gift experience across cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and a track record of advancing prospect discovery and engagement across levels of giving. the client will consider candidates with ten or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in marketing, digital/web, social media, or fundraising marketing, with strong digital fluency and capability in marketing communications, including storytelling and multi-channel marketing. experience with marketing technologies and emerging artificial intelligence will be considered, and the candidate should have comprehensive skills in developing and refining digital content and social media approaches to support growth objectives.
