The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide enterprise leadership across financial, commercial, and finance systems transformation. The role partners with the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team to help design and implement enterprise strategy, while making confident decisions under uncertainty across financial, operational, and organizational dimensions.
The CFO holds full accountability for financial and commercial leadership, including governance of capital investments, budgeting, forecasting, risk, treasury, and strategic advisory to the Board, CEO, and government stakeholders. The role also oversees supply chain performance, driving cost efficiency, resilience, and compliance within a regulated environment, and it will lead finance transformation by embedding continuous improvement and leveraging data, digital capabilities, and automation to strengthen decision-making and performance.
Reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will be a senior finance executive with demonstrated success supporting enterprise-level strategy and planning delivery, including providing financial and commercial thought leadership and engaging confidently with Board, CEO, and government stakeholders. They will have proven experience leading large, multi-disciplined finance teams in complex organizations, offering strategic and financial oversight of end-to-end supply chain operations, and transforming the finance function into a contemporary, insight-driven, high-impact capability. The role also requires a values-led, systems thinking approach to building sustainable functional capability and developing leaders, alongside strong experience in a Government Trading Entity, regulated utility, or a strong understanding of public sector/GTE operating environments.
