Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and works in close partnership with the CEO and the Board of Directors. In this strategic role, the CFO is responsible for the overall day-to-day planning, implementation, management, reporting, and oversight of all finance-related activities across the organization, including the Outsourced Billing Services business line. The CFO also oversees financial compliance and related recognition activities for government contracts and private grants, as well as other contract obligations, and helps translate organizational strategies into actionable financial plans.

The ideal candidate is a senior finance executive with experience in healthcare technology, managed services, or a comparable commercial organization. As an executive finance partner, the CFO is expected to support growth-focused corporate goals while maintaining operational rigor to sustain achievement of key financial performance indicators. The role also requires contemporary corporate financial management capabilities, including strategies for accessing capital and scaling efficiently, and demonstrated experience leading finance teams in a hybrid and/or remote environment across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities include developing and continuously evaluating short- and long-term strategic financial objectives; providing timely and accurate budget analysis, financial trend reporting, and forecasting; and directing all aspects of the finance function in a fully remote environment. The CFO will lead cash management efforts, multi-year forecasting, and financing activities when needed, and will engage the Board to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections as directed by the CEO. The CFO represents the organization to financial partners and external stakeholders, remains current on nonprofit audit best practices and applicable laws for nonprofit operations, ensures internal controls aligned with GAAP and relevant regulations, manages forecasting/budgeting/consolidation/reporting processes, advises executive leadership on financial implications, evaluates financial impacts of long-range planning and new programs or regulatory actions, and serves as an executive sponsor for the Outsourced Billing Services business unit.
