the client invites applications and nominations for the role of Chief Financial Officer. this is a founder-partner position for a financially sophisticated, operationally strong, entrepreneurial leader who will help build the next chapter of a high-growth youth programs organization. the client is poised for accelerated growth, including expanding pre-college programming, launching new profit centers, developing consulting and institutional services, exploring partnership opportunities, and scaling through strategic capital relationships.

the Chief Financial Officer serves as the organization’s senior financial and operational architect and is expected to be highly hands-on in a complex, fast-paced environment. approximately 30% of the role is strategic and 70% tactical, reporting to the CEO and serving as a core member of the leadership team. responsibilities include overseeing finance; HR and payroll; financial systems and technology; warehousing, procurement, and ordering; staffing economics and seasonal workforce modeling; and admissions operations with a focus on enrollment forecasting. the CFO leads a finance team of three, with the controller acting as a strong second-in-command.

the role manages one of the client’s largest cost centers: a seasonal workforce of approximately 1,500 employees, alongside about 43 year-round staff. the client seeks a leader with demonstrated experience building or scaling businesses and strong zero-based budgeting capability, along with the ability to translate financial insight into operational momentum. qualifications include 10+ years of progressive finance and operations leadership, budget management experience of $10M+, HRIS experience, NetSuite or comparable ERP experience, exposure to multi-site operations, and experience with seasonal workforce economics; the preferred HRIS platform is UKG.
