The client is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative Chief Financial Officer to serve as a mission-driven business partner rather than only a traditional financial steward. This leader will help evaluate new opportunities, apply financial discipline, and translate complex information into actionable insights for senior leadership, supporting decisions that balance mission, innovation, access, and long-term sustainability. The role is expected to be comfortable with change and ambiguity and to bring judgment and curiosity while building within an evolving organization.
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and the board, providing visionary financial leadership that enables organizational sustainability, innovation, and growth. The CFO will directly oversee Finance and Information Technology and lead a team through two direct reports: the Controller and the Director of Information Technology. These functions are responsible for the financial, technological, and operational infrastructure needed to support the organization’s success.
Key responsibilities include financial stewardship, enterprise risk management, technology strategy, legal coordination, and organizational compliance. The CFO is expected to understand and use the financial drivers behind attendance, pricing, consumer behavior, philanthropy, and organizational growth, and to provide leadership that strengthens long-term financial sustainability. The role will also support cross-leadership collaboration to ensure the organization can make informed choices that support both operational needs and ongoing mission impact.
