The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team in a supportive and caring work environment. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing finance, business analysis, budgeting, reporting, HR administration, risk assessment, audit, insurance, IT, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation, post-secondary education in finance or related field, and proven experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, and compliance.
Responsibilities of the CFO include providing strategic financial leadership, managing financial operations, preparing and presenting financial reports to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors, overseeing budgeting processes, and developing financial forecasting models. The CFO will also provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, collaborate with the Board Finance Committee to implement financial policies, and manage relationships with external auditors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as experience in supporting philanthropic efforts and donor stewardship.
The successful candidate will have experience in financial management and accounting software, as well as a background in social justice. The CFO will play a key role in fostering a culture of donor stewardship, financial sustainability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
