The client seeks a strategic, passionate, and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial management and help ensure the organization’s continued financial success. This full-time role begins on June 15, 2027 and is expected to be performed on campus. The CFO will work from a position of strength, supporting long-term sustainability during a period of promising change, with opportunities for strategic planning and ongoing iteration.
In this leadership role, the CFO will oversee the business office and will be responsible for financial management, human resources, and legal and compliance functions. The CFO will ensure the school’s financial health, integrity, and long-term sustainability; will collaborate closely with the Head of School; will sit on the leadership team; and will serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees, supporting finance, audit, and governance initiatives.
The client expects a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a CPA strongly preferred. Additional qualifications include a strong track record in financial management (preferably in education or a non-profit setting), solid understanding of human resource management (with SHRM or other HR certification preferred), extensive experience managing legal matters (preferably in education or a non-profit setting), and strong written and verbal communication skills. Technology competencies are expected, including the effective use of software and/or AI to drive efficiencies, along with strong organizational judgment and decision-making, and proficiency with common office and productivity tools.
