The client seeks a strategic, mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead organization-wide financial strategy and partner closely with the CEO to drive sustainable growth and impact. The role is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, as well as strengthening budgeting processes, financial modeling, and productivity analysis to support effective decision-making for the organization’s scale and service delivery.
The CFO will oversee internal controls, audits, treasury, and investment oversight, and lead cross-functional initiatives that improve financial maturity and operational effectiveness. The role will guide and develop a finance team of about 15, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while translating financial insights into clear, actionable guidance for internal stakeholders and the Board.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance and accounting, along with progressive financial leadership experience in a nonprofit or related environment. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is expected, with CPA and/or MBA preferred. Experience with behavioral health operations or revenue cycle management is a plus, and prior experience with government grants, contracts, or other regulated environments is preferred; additional strengths include the ability to navigate multi-revenue environments and effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
