The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team on a permanent basis. This hands-on, high-impact role will lead the group’s global finance and business operations functions and report directly to the CEO. The CFO will help build the financial and operational infrastructure required to support international growth, including ensuring corporate substance in Malta and driving commercial and legal execution of the group’s business models.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining the group’s financial strategy and supporting capital management; leading budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and ongoing monitoring of financial and operational KPIs; and optimizing global multi-currency cash flow and banking relationships. The role will also manage accounting, financial reporting, audits, and international regulatory compliance, as well as oversee international tax structures, intercompany arrangements, transfer pricing considerations, IP management, and intercompany agreements. In addition, the CFO will evaluate and implement financial reporting systems that enable automated, timely and accurate group reporting across global entities.
The CFO will design and approve advanced commercial models aligned with complex licensing and milestone-based business requirements, and support contract negotiations with enterprise clients and government entities. They will ensure proper contract execution, including compliance with terms, invoicing, milestone tracking, and collections, while leading operational activities to ensure processes are effectively executed against management objectives. The role will also build and improve financial and operational workflows, internal procedures, systems, and management tools; centralize legal affairs and coordinate with internal and international counsel; and manage the group’s corporate insurance portfolio. The client seeks an experienced finance executive with a mandatory professional accounting qualification equivalent to CPA, strong leadership and communication skills, and relevant international group experience; direct experience in cyber security/cyber intelligence or comparable complex enterprise and B2G structures is highly preferred, along with professional fluency in English.
