Description

The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for its UK business. the role will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, supporting business planning, growth initiatives, and long-term value creation. The client is an international premium consumer business operating in a diversified omnichannel environment spanning wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and physical retail, with a continued focus on investing in growth, new categories, and customer experience.

key responsibilities include overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management; driving commercial decision-making through analysis and business partnering across multiple functions; and evaluating investment opportunities, growth initiatives, and capital allocation decisions. the CFO will maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance, and will assume responsibility for statutory reporting, audit, taxation, treasury, and corporate governance. additional duties include leading cash flow, working capital, and funding activities, and supporting commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships with financial and legal expertise.

the successful candidate will build strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banking partners, advisors, and regulatory bodies, and will lead and develop a high-performing finance leadership team. qualifications include being a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and having proven senior finance leadership experience, typically at CFO, Finance Director, or an equivalent level within a large, profitable organization or an operating subsidiary of an international group. the role also calls for demonstrated experience driving revenue growth and profit improvement, strong technical finance and commercial finance capabilities across control, reporting, planning, governance, and cash management, and experience partnering with executive leadership to shape strategy and investment decisions.
