The client seeks an experienced, strategic, and mission-oriented Chief Financial Officer to serve as a key partner to the organization’s leadership team and Board in advancing a vision focused on science, conservation, and education. The CFO will help support the client’s role as a nonprofit dedicated to the collection, study, display, and conservation of trees and other plants, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, stewardship, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic leadership for core finance and financial planning functions, as well as legal and contracts, private events, food service, new business development, and the organization store. The CFO will also coordinate the organization’s annual immersive holiday experience and will partner with senior leaders to advance a comprehensive site plan and an anticipated major fundraising campaign intended to transform operations and improve accessibility and functionality for visitors and researchers.
The role is expected to build on a financially strong organization with diverse revenue streams and an endowment valued at more than a specified amount.
