The CFO & Commissioner is responsible for overseeing various corporate stewardship functions such as financial management, treasury, development financing, procurement, information technology, insurance, and risk management. As a member of the Region's Corporate Leadership Team, the CFO & Commissioner serves as a trusted strategic advisor to the CAO, Regional Council, and senior leadership. They play a crucial role in ensuring that all functions operate cohesively as an integrated corporate system to support the Region's financial sustainability, service delivery, asset stewardship, digital and information environment, organizational resilience, and strategic priorities.Reporting directly to the CAO, the CFO & Commissioner acts as the most-senior financial executive for the Region, providing strategic leadership and guidance on financial matters. They are responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the Region's overall goals and objectives. The CFO & Commissioner plays a key role in driving the Region's financial success and ensuring that resources are effectively managed to support the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
