the client is seeking an accomplished and collaborative financial executive to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer. The role supports a physician-led organization providing advanced medical imaging services, with a focus on enabling excellence in patient care, education, research, and innovation. The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chair of the Practice Plan Board of Directors and act as a trusted strategic partner responsible for financial stewardship and administrative leadership.
In this broad, influential executive role, the CFO provides leadership across finance, governance, physician administration, and corporate operations, helping ensure the organization remains financially sustainable, operationally effective, and well-positioned to support its academic and clinical mission. Working closely with physician leaders, the Board of Directors, and external advisors, the CFO will lead financial planning and reporting, oversee physician remuneration and contractual administration, strengthen governance and business processes, and advance strategic initiatives that support continued growth and evolution of the practice.
The successful candidate is expected to be a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader who inspires confidence through integrity, sound judgment, and exceptional relationship-building skills. The role typically requires senior financial leadership experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a physician-led organization. Experience in healthcare, academic medicine, professional services, or physician practice environments is expected to be an asset, and the candidate is ideally expected to hold a CPA, CA designation and demonstrate expertise in financial reporting, corporate governance, taxation, regulatory compliance, and organizational leadership, with comfort balancing strategic advice and day-to-day financial and administrative oversight.
