The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance organization through a major growth phase in a renewable energy manufacturing environment. The role will support expansion of manufacturing capacity, increased internal production of key components, strengthening of financial infrastructure and systems, and preparation for potential outside investment and long-term capital events. This is expected to be the first true strategic finance leadership role, with responsibilities spanning both hands-on execution and enterprise-level strategic planning.
The Chief Financial Officer will oversee all financial operations while building a high-performance finance function and modernizing financial processes, systems, and reporting. Key responsibilities include leading and developing the accounting and finance team, supporting daily financial activities in a growing multi-shift manufacturing operation, and establishing scalable workflows, controls, and performance measurement. The role will also involve strengthening budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A capabilities, modernizing financial systems and driving process automation, improving internal controls and reporting frameworks, and leading ERP optimization efforts (SAP S/4HANA experience is preferred).
Strategically, the CFO will serve as a finance partner to ownership and senior leadership, guiding the business through growth and capital investment cycles and supporting the evaluation and integration of facility expansions. The role will include enhancing investor-facing materials and assisting with funding activities, preparing the business for potential institutional investment, and contributing to long-term planning as revenue targets and potential future liquidity events come into focus. Required qualifications include experience in manufacturing or other capital-intensive settings and proven capability building and scaling finance teams in high-growth environments, with strong FP&A, cash management, and operational finance experience, as well as experience working closely with founders or entrepreneurs and supporting capital raises or investor communications; ERP experience is required, and exposure to IPO preparation or publicly traded environments and Mandarin proficiency (beneficial) are preferred.
