Description

the client is seeking a VP or SVP of Finance and Administration to help build and scale a high-performing finance and operations function in support of rapid growth in the US and the launch and development of new ventures internationally. This role is expected to operate as a critical business enabler, ensuring the organization has the talent, systems, processes, controls, and analytical capabilities needed to deliver its strategy and ambitious objectives in a fast-paced environment.

As a business partner to the Managing Director, the CFO will develop and assess organizational performance against the annual budget and the company’s long-term strategy, and provide financial and operational insights to leaders across the US and new ventures to support actionable recommendations on strategy and operations. The role will support business transformation and coordinate with regional and group leadership located in London and Dubai. Core responsibilities include developing financial strategy and departmental capabilities, overseeing long-term budget planning and cost management, participating in key decisions on strategic initiatives and operating execution, and preparing regular planning and forecasting materials such as monthly profit and loss forecasts by division and weekly cash flow forecasts.

The CFO will lead financial results analysis and recommendations for strategic and tactical actions, develop and execute analyses of business initiatives, and oversee cash flow planning to ensure the availability of funds through both short- and long-term horizons. The position includes coordinating budget development and monitoring, contributing to corporate policy development as part of senior management, representing the company with financial partners such as financial institutions, investors, auditors, and public officials, and building and supervising the accounting function to maintain appropriate accounting systems and internal controls. Additional duties include overseeing audits and tax filing, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for financial functions, managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting for group consolidation, reviewing closing activities (including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate/overhead cost allocation), and serving as an escalation point for accounts-related issues.
