The client invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for the role of Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance and Administration. Reporting directly to the president, this senior executive leader will help guide the client through a period of thoughtful transformation, ensuring the organization has a sustainable and flexible financial model aligned with the dynamic needs of a contemporary arts and design college. The position is expected to combine forward-looking leadership with an appreciation for the organization’s history, emphasizing fiscal soundness and business effectiveness.

The Chief Financial Officer will oversee the finance and administration unit and serve as a pivotal member of the senior leadership team and executive leadership. In this capacity, the CFO will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and students, work with the Board of Trustees, partner with other vice presidents, and maintain relationships with external business partners and vendors. The role also calls for transparent communication and a commitment to centering equity in practice, fostering intentional relationships and building shared ownership for the financial vision.

The successful candidate is expected to be an administratively strong executive leader and a key thought partner to the president, balancing transformative capacity with respect for the client’s established legacy. Leadership style and qualifications should align with the responsibilities of strategic financial oversight, organizational partnership, and effective stakeholder engagement across internal and external communities.
