The client is seeking a Chief Facilities Officer to provide executive leadership over the design, operations, and innovation of clinical and support facilities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional patient care, education, and research. In this role, you will oversee facilities planning, construction, safety, and operational initiatives, and help create a premier patient and staff experience across the client’s facilities portfolio.
Working in partnership with site teams, you will support major facilities investment and help coordinate across the client to share and scale best practices. Core responsibilities include providing leadership of facilities projects and implementation, advancing initiatives that integrate physical and digital capabilities (including automation and artificial intelligence, where applicable) to support a seamless patient experience, and enabling healthcare transformation through facilities strategies that may support novel care models and future technologies. You will also sponsor evidence-based design and smart technology adoption, advise executive leadership and relevant committees on prioritization and phasing of major building programs, participate in master planning and capital project planning, and collaborate on funding requests and emergency preparedness planning, including clinical area impacts from infrastructure, utilities, or building systems.
To be successful, you will be a servant leader who can build strong relationships with senior physician leaders, benefactors, and frontline staff, and who has a demonstrated track record of driving transformation that improves culture, safety, team dynamics, and service excellence. The role requires an ability to partner collaboratively across the client, navigate decision-making processes, and maintain a strong institutional presence while securing endorsement and support from colleagues. A master’s degree is required.
