Description

The client is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for their European operations, with the role primarily based in Germany and providing wide-ranging support to various European entities.

The successful candidate will bring substantial expertise in EU transfer pricing and a comprehensive understanding of both local and international tax regulations.

Reporting to the Tax Director in the United States, the Senior Tax Manager will work closely with the Finance, Legal, and external advisors throughout Europe, playing a critical role in tax risk management, process improvement, and the client's growth.

Key responsibilities include leading corporate income tax compliance and reporting for Germany and other European jurisdictions, overseeing income tax provision processes in tandem with global tax and finance teams, and monitoring transfer pricing policies to ensure conformance with OECD guidelines and local regulations.

The role involves supporting intercompany transaction reviews, managing transfer pricing audits, and ensuring thorough local file/master file preparation.

Additional duties include collaborating with local advisors to meet tax compliance and statutory requirements, assisting with tax audits across Europe, and providing VAT and indirect tax support alongside external providers.

The Senior Tax Manager will also identify potential opportunities for EU tax incentives and funding grants.

Candidates should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with over 8 years of relevant tax experience focused on European and German corporate taxation.

Strong knowledge of EU transfer pricing and OECD principles, as well as German tax law and US GAAP tax provision (ASC 740), is essential.

Experience with indirect tax compliance, multinational corporate environments, and tax reporting systems is advantageous.

Fluency in English is required, and German language skills are strongly preferred.

The role is largely remote, with some occasional on-site work required, for which accommodation will be provided.
