Leading a team of over 250 technical, scientific, and professional experts with a significant operational scope, the focus is on balancing environmental protection with sustainable economic growth while meeting the evolving demands of modern regulators.In addition to internal leadership, the Chief Executive will play a critical role in New Zealand's environmental system by building trusted relationships with various stakeholders. This includes Ministers, government agencies, iwi, the business community, and international partners. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate policy and regulatory acumen to navigate complex environments while upholding the EPA's regulatory independence and integrity.
