The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide visionary, strategic leadership and set organizational direction in partnership with the Board. The CEO will serve as the organization’s chief external spokesperson across programs, partnerships, and mission areas, and will lead organizational growth and capacity-building supported by an established foundation, a dedicated team, and strong statewide relationships built through mission-driven work.
Key responsibilities include overseeing all organizational programs, leading and developing a talented staff team, and strengthening program and organizational capacity. The CEO will also drive fundraising and development strategy to grow and diversify revenue, manage the organization’s annual budget, ensure financial health and sustainability, and deepen coalitions, partnerships, and relationships with government, community, programmatic, and private sector partners statewide.
The ideal candidate will have senior nonprofit or mission-driven leadership experience as a CEO, Executive Director, or equivalent C-suite role with comparable organizational scope, including demonstrated board accountability and P&L responsibility. The role calls for a proven track record leading multi-program organizations and high-performing staff teams, experience spanning advocacy, education, training, and community-based programs, and strong fundraising and development capabilities. Exceptional communications and public speaking skills are required to credibly represent the organization externally.
