The client seeks a visionary, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead a complex, distributed national human-services enterprise. The role involves advancing strategy and expanding reach to underserved military populations through a network of branches and affiliate partners serving military installations and facilities nationwide. The CEO will also preserve and strengthen trust with Department of Defense and military leadership, sustaining the organization’s distinctive access across the country.
The CEO will lead institutional growth by elevating and diversifying fundraising across major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government grants, while scaling multi-site childcare, youth, and family-resilience services with a focus on quality, compliance, and accountability. The position includes partnering closely with an engaged national board to help shape governance and the organization’s next chapter during a period of expansion, including growing government-supported activity and expanding physical assets.
Qualified candidates will have 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit, military, or corporate sector, along with a proven record managing complex, large-scale organizations. The role requires strong financial acumen, strategic planning experience, and a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree such as an MBA or MPA is preferred. The CEO must be credible with military leadership, government partners, donors, and corporate stakeholders.
