the client is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer to steward its strategic direction, culture, operations, partnerships, and philanthropic point of view. reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the organization’s work alongside staff, partners, and the wider ecosystem, helping to reimagine how philanthropy can support systems change and help create conditions for a more flourishing future. the organization works across three focus areas—peacebuilding, forced labor & human trafficking, and racial justice & equity—advancing the dignity and voice of people most affected by violent conflict, exploitation, and injustice through grantmaking, public engagement, and deep, long-term partnerships.

the client invites leaders who are committed to a world where people and the planet flourish, and who are comfortable with a non-traditional philanthropic approach. the ideal candidate is expected to be a systems practitioner and coalition-builder who understands how power moves, how relationships are cultivated, and how change happens, while ensuring philanthropy continues to evolve to remain relevant and accountable to the people it serves. the role typically requires depth across multiple competencies, including adaptive relational leadership, organizational health cultivation, empathic change navigation, strategic imagination and collective capacity-building, conflict fluency, geopolitical literacy, operational and financial stewardship, board management and governance, and philanthropic ecosystem leadership.
