the client is a globally focused nonprofit dedicated to decarbonizing industrial thermal energy use with renewable solutions. the client brings together a community of major industrial heat users and clean heat solution providers to accelerate renewable thermal technology deployment and support industry decarbonization through peer learning, technical resources, market analysis, and policy advocacy. the client serves a range of industrial and institutional thermal energy users across manufacturing sectors including automotive, building materials, chemicals, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and pulp and paper.
Now transitioning to a more independent, scaled nonprofit model, the client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead at a pivotal inflection point. the CEO will advance the organization’s mission by driving strategic growth, financial sustainability, and operational excellence. This role will require serving as a visionary strategist shaping long-term direction and market positioning, a builder and operator establishing internal systems and organizational capacity, and an external ambassador cultivating strategic partnerships and funding opportunities.
The CEO will also act as a coalition builder and convener to align diverse stakeholders across industries and sectors, and as an industry catalyst elevating the client’s brand and influence through global programs and initiatives. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee all aspects of strategy, operations, and expansion, with support from existing staff members and external consultants. Working closely with the Board, the CEO will help develop an operational playbook, including team structure.
