A the client is seeking an inspirational, collaborative, and empowering Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic direction and oversight for its youth mentoring organization. The client’s mission focuses on delivering professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships for children facing adversity, partnering with families, volunteers, and the community to create strong, enduring relationships. Through mentoring and community programming, the organization aims to help young people build skills, confidence, and positive relationships that support a hopeful, empowered future.
The CEO will translate strategic vision into measurable objectives, drive cross-functional alignment, and lead accountability for performance outcomes and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing all organizational operations and programs in line with national mentoring guidelines to achieve the mission, goals, and objectives; ensuring strong financial management and the soundness of the organization’s financial structure; monitoring and advancing programmatic metrics such as match creation and sustainability, youth outcomes, and service delivery standards; and championing technology, data, and modern practices to improve service delivery and efficiency. The CEO will also cultivate a culture of excellence, inclusion, and well-being by supporting staff development, career pathways, and retention-focused planning strategies.
Reporting to the client’s governing board, the CEO will evolve the organization’s strategic vision in partnership with leadership and support implementation, stabilization, and sustainable growth across Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. The role includes serving as an ambassador for the organization’s mission and vision with stakeholders and media, representing the client locally and beyond, and developing relationships across philanthropic, business, and public sectors to increase awareness and expand its donor base in a competitive nonprofit funding environment. The CEO will build and sustain relationships that enrich participant experiences while supporting long-term organizational impact.
