The client is seeking a senior executive to lead the US domestic market for a European luxury goods company. This role is aimed at serving a clientele that is primarily high net worth individuals. The position may be finalized as a US General Manager, Country Manager, US Managing Director, or an SVP/EVP-level Chief Executive Officer (final title is to be determined), and will focus on driving growth and overseeing commercial performance across the US.
The ideal candidate is a luxury goods executive with strong experience in the US market and, ideally, a background spanning both Sales and Marketing. The role will typically support categories such as fashion, leather goods, jewelry, watches, or wine & spirits, with experience relevant to luxury positioning for high net worth customers. It is expected to be executed at a corporate VP/SVP level, with responsibilities that may include shaping go-to-market strategy, strengthening brand presence, and ensuring sales and marketing execution.
Key qualifications include approximately 10 years of experience in prestige/luxury goods, with ideally exposure to both wholesale and retail channels, as well as prior P&L management experience. Experience in e-commerce and digital marketing is expected. Preferred experience and titles may include senior leadership roles such as General Manager, Country Manager, Executive Vice President, or Senior Vice President, reflecting the scope typically required for managing a luxury business in the US.
