the client is a global partnership with a singular purpose: to end child marriage. it mobilises, equips, and influences a wide ecosystem to address the political, social, legal, and economic conditions that allow the practice to persist, aiming to drive systems change and accelerate lasting progress toward a world where child marriage is history.
the client is seeking an inspiring and dynamic Chief Executive to lead the organisation through its next phase. as Chief Executive, you will serve as the external face, strategic leader, and organisational head, setting direction, strengthening performance, sustaining critical partnerships, and ensuring internal clarity, culture, and capability to deliver. reporting to the Board, you will also represent the client with governments, funders, multilateral institutions, civil society partners, and the wider movement, while helping to open new partnerships, allies, and resource streams.
the role requires an accomplished external-facing civil society leader with deep fluency in girls’ rights, gender, or a related development field, strong political judgement, exceptional relationship-building skills, and credibility to engage across grassroots organisations, governments, funders, faith and cultural leaders, and multilateral spaces. the client seeks a values-driven leader committed to ending child marriage, with a belief in collective strength and the agility to lead in a complex and changing landscape. applications are particularly welcomed from candidates with lived proximity to contexts where child marriage persists and from those whose experience has been gathered outside conventional pathways, with reasonable adjustments made at every stage of the process.
