The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide vision, strategic planning, and leadership consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors and a senior leadership team to deliver strategic financial and operational guidance and to provide overall direction for management decision-making. The role will include regular monitoring and ongoing development and evaluation of staff, programs, policies, and procedures, with recommendations to the Board.
The CEO will create a culture aligned with organizational values, advance diversity and inclusion in programming, and implement supports that expand and improve services while helping remove barriers to access. Responsibilities include streamlining internal processes to improve efficiencies and operational excellence, applying a team-building approach that develops leaders and incorporates input to move the organization forward, and delivering on the organization’s strategic plan, including budgets and timelines for key deliverables. The CEO will also reinforce the organization’s commitment to championing women in leadership roles and maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and equitable approach.
The role includes community and stakeholder engagement, such as representing the organization to enhance visibility and understanding of its mandate, maintain strong internal and external relationships, and support system-level advocacy related to the organization’s work. The CEO will direct annual budget development aligned with approved strategic and operational plans, ensure effective financial controls and timely financial reporting, and oversee responsible administration of resources. In addition, the CEO will maintain key funding relationships, pursue diverse financial support through government and donor partnerships, write grants, and develop strategic partnerships to strengthen the organization’s voice in the community.
