AWS Legal is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the firm's strategic direction, governance, and management of key risks. This role involves overseeing various aspects of the firm including people and capability, finance, technology, client services, legal administration, and brand and market positioning. The CEO will be responsible for implementing a strategic plan focused on becoming the employer of choice in Southland and Central Otago, being trusted advisors to clients, and ensuring the ongoing success and sustainability of the firm.In addition to operational oversight, the Chief Executive will drive strategic planning and implementation, monitor firm-wide performance, and ensure alignment across practice groups and partners. The role also involves navigating the implications of AI and technology for legal service delivery and providing leadership in addressing sector-wide challenges. The ideal candidate will be a leader embedded in the Southern region, comfortable acting as a senior spokesperson for the firm, and able to bring a fresh perspective to AWS Legal.
