The client seeks a thoughtful, dynamic, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead a nationally recognized accredited STEM-focused museum and interactive science learning organization. The CEO will build on a strong foundation established over decades, providing visionary and strategic leadership in partnership with the Board and staff to advance the organization’s mission, expand its reach and visibility, strengthen its public profile, and guide the next phase of growth and impact.
The CEO will provide financial and operational leadership, with a particular emphasis on developing contributed and earned revenue. Responsibilities include coordinating funding priorities for facility maintenance and exhibit expansion, serving as a thought leader on organizational matters, overseeing policies and procedures related to museum operations, and leading process improvements and performance enhancements to strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.
Alongside a lean team, the CEO is expected to lead the development of a bold new gallery plan to reimagine the visitor experience for the next generation, while maintaining and continuously updating facility infrastructure. The role also includes oversight of both the flagship science center campus and a newly launched immersive attraction in downtown Hot Springs, ensuring their financial health by refining and articulating their value propositions to support investment and expand individual and institutional giving capacity.
