The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to serve as the operational backbone and a strategic partner to its founders. This role will provide hands-on leadership for a small staff and a network of contractors, and will supervise all aspects of business operations, including establishing strategic and annual operating plans, performance metrics, and budgets across the organization’s work.
The CEO will ensure that operations match the organization’s conservation and storytelling excellence, and will lead the organizational integration of the client and its affiliated entities, with authority to assess and optimize structure and functional alignment in consultation with the founders. The CEO will also ensure that staff and initiatives operate as a coherent, strategically aligned whole while maintaining appropriate legal and operational boundaries to support compliance and mitigate risk.
The CEO will lead organizational leadership and strategic engagement related to a Connected Planet initiative created in collaboration with a major conservation and storytelling partner, focused on scaling the identification and protection of wildlife corridors through a global network. The CEO will ensure effective management of this critical collaboration and associated joint fundraising, support the founders in building and sustaining additional partnerships, and gradually take on personally managing key partner relationships, including participation in regular partner meetings.
