The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a multi-service charitable organization serving underserved, marginalized, and at-risk communities. The CEO will provide senior leadership across a multi-site operation, overseeing programs that support stability and well-being, including affordable housing, shelter, employment, settlement services, youth and seniors’ services, and a music school. This role will help set and advance strategic direction that strengthens community impact and promotes accessible, innovative solutions.
The CEO will work closely with the board, leadership team, staff, community partners, funders, and donors to increase technology-enabled operational excellence, strengthen financial sustainability, and enhance cross-program collaboration. Key responsibilities include translating plans into measurable outcomes using sound research and data, serving as an effective internal leader and external public representative, and leading areas such as team leadership, labour relations, government relations, and stewardship of funders and donors. The role also emphasizes transparency, accountability, and a values-based approach focused on improving lives.
Candidates will have demonstrated senior executive leadership or board volunteer experience within a complex, multi-site not-for-profit or public sector service delivery organization. The client seeks an integrity-driven, values-based communicator with expertise in at least one relevant program area and strong understanding of diverse urban communities, along with strategic and creative leadership skills.
