Our client is seeking a Chief Executive to provide strong leadership during a critical time for the organization and the local government sector. Reporting to the Mayor and elected members, the ideal candidate will be a confident agent of change with the ability to deliver results in a complex and evolving environment. In addition to maintaining strong external relationships and iwi partnerships, the Chief Executive will be responsible for fostering a positive organizational culture, enhancing internal capabilities, and promoting cohesion within the Council. Effective delegation to a skilled leadership team will be crucial for improving service delivery and enhancing the Council's reputation. The successful candidate must also be able to build trust and collaboration with various stakeholders, including mana whenua, community members, businesses, and government partners, while ensuring sound financial management, strategic infrastructure planning, and adept policy navigation.
