The client is seeking a Chief Digital and Technology Officer for a newly expanded executive role created to support a planned leadership transition. This leader will own enterprise technology and cybersecurity, as well as data, digital platforms, marketing, and ecommerce, with a mandate to preserve a stable technology foundation while delivering a practical, right-sized modernization and integration roadmap. The role is designed to connect technology, marketing, and ecommerce into a unified customer and revenue engine, and The client will provide a team structure that includes three direct reports spanning IT, Marketing, and Sales Enablement/Ecommerce, plus approximately 10 additional team members.
Key responsibilities include ensuring reliability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure and business systems, and building and executing a multiyear technology roadmap that modernizes ERP, CRM, and core systems without disrupting day-to-day operations. This leader will own cybersecurity, business continuity, and technology risk management, and manage vendors, managed service providers, and technology budgets with accountability for cost, quality, and delivery. The role also includes creating a unified architecture across the website, ecommerce, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms to support a trusted customer view, and delivering end-to-end data unification across governance, integrations, ownership, and reporting; it will also identify practical, well-governed AI use cases that improve marketing, service, forecasting, and productivity.
Additional responsibilities include setting marketing strategy and evaluating performance across brand, content, email, social, events, and paid media in partnership with the Director of Marketing, and building a disciplined demand generation engine with measurable pipeline contribution and ROI. The leader will empower the Director of Marketing for day-to-day execution while maintaining strategic direction and accountability. The Chief Digital and Technology Officer will provide executive leadership for ecommerce in coordination with the leader of Sales Enablement, ensuring ecommerce is complementary to sales; this includes prioritizing B2B and government/contract-based ecommerce experience. The role also requires coaching and development across leaders with varied experience levels, establishing priorities and decision rights without micromanaging, and demonstrating warm, transparent, values-driven leadership.
